So you probably notice that I've changed up the blog home page. Added a to do list, a status box, and a box that contains an iframe that shows my last.fm last played song. Think I was working on those 3 boxes for HOURS just to make sure they looked correctly on desktop, only to find out that it looks kind of broken on mobile... I don't think I will worry about that too much right now while i try to figure out how to style it exactly like I want while keeping it mobile friendly. I'm still trying to learn how mobile specific html/css works and how to implement it. I really want to add a hamburger menu so I can really toy around with the mobile layout. That way I can implement my idea on desktop as well as I can while also not needing to worry too much about whether or not it makes you scroll on mobile. For now, I think the zonelets mobile solution works good enough while I try to learn this, though just doesn't look good or fancy. I never really worry about making it look as cool or fancy as these other neocities sites, only because I know I'm a beginner and some of these are done by advanced or experts, or at least know what they're wanting in terms of html and css where they can search for exactly what they're thinking of. I'm at least trying to take inspiration and learn from other bits of code or people's sites. I don't think I could figure out implementing the 3 boxes without doing that lol.
I do find that this keeps me kind of occupied and not distracted or jumping around trying to find my next entertainment source. In fact, I seem to get so deep into it that hours pass before I realize how much time I spent working on something, or trying to learn something. It's actually a little more rewarding! I can't often sit and watch a video while working on this blog either, so I'm properly focused. Didn't realize how much I'd enjoy working on my own blog, I kind of wish I jumped in sooner. Granted, I didn't know something like zonelets existed previously, and I didn't know how much of a basic amount of html I actually needed in order to just sit down and use their setup to blog. I think one day I would love to make it more complex, and eventually make a site that then leads into this blog. But for now, I think I'm pretty content with how simple this is.
